*Medicare Rebate

Medicare provides a rebate of $58.30 per consultation for patients who have been referred to a Dietitian by their GP on a Care Plan – Chronic Disease Management Plan (Team Care Arrangement-TCA).  GPs must develop the plan prior to the appointment for patients to be eligible for the Medicare rebate.  Medicare rebate is available on the day of consultation. Refer to the Department of Health MBS Online for information about Dietetics health service MBS # 10954 Medicare rebate (85% benefit).

Private Health Rebate

Most private health funds provide rebates for visits to a Dietitian.  The rebate is variable and depends on the health insurance provider and the level of cover.  Patients should contact their health insurance provider to check their entitlements.

At least 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling of your appointments.  A cancellation fee of 50% of the fee may be charged for missed appointments or appointments which are cancelled or rescheduled with less than the minimum notice.  Cancellation fees exist to ensure all appointments times are kept available for clients who need them.1
